Federal lands comprise 85% of the Gunnison Valley. YOUR trails, rivers and public lands will be OPEN as the snow melts, but personnel cuts at the Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and Park Service mean all of us will need to keep stewardship top of mind this summer. Pack out all trash, and be extra careful with fire. Together, we can keep our backcountry beautiful!

There is one other distinct advantage to bringing your clubs on your next visit to Gunnison-Crested Butte: golf balls fly farther at altitude in our thin mountain air. While we can’t promise you’ll lower your handicap, we can promise you will enjoy yourself.

CRESTED BUTTE GOLF

The Club at Crested Butte offers a tranquil setting of trout-filled lakes, aspen trees, and mountain views as a backdrop for their Robert Trent Jones II Championship Golf Course. Offering all of the amenities of a full club, the Club at Crested Butte will make you feel at home the next time you tee up for a round of golf in Crested Butte.

Membership is not required to play at the Club at Crested Butte. Public tee times are available after noon each day. In addition, golfing instruction is available for both youth and adults. For more on the experience of playing golf in the mountains, check out Mountain Moments on the Golf Course by assistant club pro, Ryan Hoynacki.
