It’s not often that you can access nationally-ranked health care in a small, remote community. In the Gunnison Valley, you can. From your first breath to your last, Gunnison Valley Health (GVH) offers comprehensive health care to residents in Gunnison Crested Butte communities. Within the health system, GHV offers 360° of care, from family care to emergency medical services, behavioral health services and senior care. GVH is a participant in both Medicaid and Medicare.

The GVH hospital is a 24-bed, short-term acute care facility owned and operated by the County of Gunnison. The hospital is also a Level IV Trauma Center with 24/7 emergency care staff trained to provide care for standard medical and traumatic emergencies, as well as extreme emergencies such as cold weather injuries and high altitude injuries.
