For such small schools, the Gunnison and Crested Butte communities field an impressive array of official school sports including soccer, cross country, track, basketball, volleyball, swimming, wrestling and others. 

Like all Gunnison Valley residents, kids who live here have amazing access to outdoor recreation. A whole host of programming through a variety of different organizations, such as the Mountain Sports Team and CB Devo, offers children the opportunity to learn from some of the Valley’s most talented young adults.

Partnerships with the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory and the Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum offer scientific and historical learning opportunities. The arts centers and dance programs in both ends of the Valley offer phenomenal instruction in visual and performing arts.
