Closing Weekend at Crested Butte Mountain Resort (CBMR) is April 4-6, 2025. Crested Butte loves costumes and a good party, and closing weekend is one of the biggest parties of the year! Skiers don wacky outfits and get their last runs in before lifts close for the season.

Ski Town Breakdown
Head to the Butte 66 deck for the last Ski Town Breakdown performance of the season! A live band (TBA) will perform. Presented by MTN DEW, enjoy live music and the MTN DEW Base Bash. There will be free swag, samples, photo ops and more!

Pond Skim
Watch competitors try to ski or ride across a man-made pond. Send off this season with silly costumes and cheering the competitors on! Or better yet, test your skills! DJ Red will be spinning tracks. All proceeds from this event benefit Crested Butte State of Mind.

Crested Butte Nordic
Closing day at Crested Butte Nordic is in April. Lessons, grooming, races and Magic Meadows Yurt events will continue until then.
Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association
Crested Butte Mountain Bike Association is not grooming for fat biking in Crested Butte anymore. Check their grooming report for more information.
Gunnison Nordic
Gunnison Nordic is no longer grooming for Nordic skiing.
Mill Creek
Mill Creek is closed due to sage grouse closures.
