What is the Gravel Adventure Field Guide?

The Gravel Adventure Field Guide is a pocket-sized booklet packed with routes, maps and local beta for more than 20 of the United States’ best gravel biking destinations.

The Gravel Adventure Field Guide team partnered with Gunnison Crested Butte Tourism and local cyclists to design an array of routes that best showcase the diverse geography of the area. Interspersed with the route maps are stories highlighting the history of the Gunnison Valley, from the Utes’ early settlements to the mining heyday and the advent of outdoor recreation. The guide also features articles about the cute and quirky towns of Gunnison Valley, including the lesser-known hamlets of Pitkin, Tincup and Almont.
