Cattlemen’s Days 4-H Horse Show, Ranch Rodeo and Open Horse Show
Cattlemen’s Days kicks off Fourth of July weekend! Check out the 4-H Horse Show on July 3. Local school kids will present their horsemanship skills, horse care knowledge and bond with their horses. The Ranch Rodeo is on July 4. Ranch Rodeos showcase working ranch skills. Events include bronc riding, stray gathering, calf branding and trailer loading. The Open Horse Show is on July 5. Similar to the 4-H Horse Show, this event allows competitors to present their horsemanship skills.

Mt. Crested Butte’s 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks (on July 3rd)
The town of Mt. Crested Butte will have live music, fireworks and food at the Crested Butte Mountain Resort base area. Gates open for this family-friendly event at 4:30 p.m. Sam Eberle, the Williams Brothers Band and Savannah Rae will perform. Fireworks will begin at dusk.

4th of July at Jorgensen Park in Gunnison
Attend July 4th events at Jorgensen Park starting at 4 P.M. Enjoy kids’ games, food and drinks, SUP demos, the Pup and Sup Race, and live music. Fireworks begin at 9:30 P.M. Bring your own chair!

4th of July Pancake Breakfast
Celebrate the 51st annual July 4th Pancake Breakfast! This breakfast is hosted by the Crested Butte Fire and EMS Volunteer Squad. Get some pancakes to start the festivities and support our first responders! Enjoy lawn games, ladder truck rides and balloon art. This is the last pancake breakfast at the station on Maroon Avenue before the new station opens. Proceeds from this event support the Crested Butte Fire and EMS Volunteer Squad, the High School Explorers Club and the Crested Butte Fallen Fire Fighter Fund. Please bring your own reusable plates, cups and cutlery.
