Natural Selection Tour returns to the Gunnison Valley in 2025

After two exciting DUELS in Colorado’s Gunnison Valley in 2024, the Natural Selection Tour will return to Eleven’s Irwin Cat Skiing near Crested Butte in February 2025.

Riders to DUEL at Irwin, near Crested Butte

The YETI Natural Selection DUEL held at Eleven’s Irwin Cat Skiing near Crested Butte, Colorado will feature a head-to-head competition between two of the world’s top snowboarders. All of the best action and the winners of Natural Selection DUELS will be unveiled in edited shows that will premiere on February 24, 2025 on Red Bull TV.

About Irwin Cat Skiing

Mountain stats

• 500 inches of snow per year on average
• 1,000 acres of terrain

Nestled high in the Elk Mountains 10 miles from the town of Crested Butte, Colorado, Irwin sits in a sweet spot for powder. Irwin receives significantly more snow than the surrounding area, and the high elevation keeps conditions dry and powdery. The terrain is only accessible by snowcat.

The brainchild of snowboarder Travis Rice, the Natural Selection Tour showcases the world’s top riders from Olympians to big mountain film icons all competing on the planet’s most exciting natural and naturally enhanced terrain. The Natural Selection Tour’s mission is to inspire people to forge a deeper relationship with Mother Nature.

How the competition works

The 2025 Natural Selection Snow Tour features two stages, as riders move through the YETI Natural Selection DUELS held at six locations worldwide to the YETI Natural Selection Revelstoke. The best all-mountain freestyle riders in the world will come together for the crowning of a men’s and women’s champion after the final day of live competition in Revelstoke.
