Crested Butte is home to the best inbounds steeps in the Lower 48.
We have the steepest cut run in North America: Rambo. When you stand on top, your stomach will drop. We have pockets of terrain with names like Body Bag, the Edge, Paradise Cliffs, and Wolf’s Lair. There is an entire collection of terrain called High Life that would be closed at almost any other ski area in the US. Here, it’s just more lines for locals to scare themselves.
As long as there is snow to cover enough of the rocks and stumps that you can pick your way down, our patrol will get it controlled and open for shredding. Come out and test yourself in Never-Never Land this winter. Just remember to think, and ski, light!

We also have the best air deals for travel to Crested Butte that you’ll find anywhere.
CB is not really a place for the faint of heart. We’re a raw mountain. Our best lines feature exposed traverses, steep terrain, and mandatory airs. If you, like us, believe that the best kind of day includes some hiking to earn your turns, the clarity of mind and focus that only risk can bring, and that rush of adrenaline when you stick a line with no room for error, we are your place. Come shred with us.
