The Moosejaw Outdoor Accelerator is a competitive business accelerator program aimed at boosting startup companies and increasing diversity in the outdoor industry. The program is designed for startup organizations that are in the early stage but have an advanced business plan and a prototype for physical products. The Moosejaw Outdoor Accelerator program seeks to include founders from historically underrepresented groups in the outdoor industry or businesses whose mission is to improve inclusivity and accessibility to the outdoors.
This eight-week business accelerator program is held in Colorado during early summer. Participants spend five of those weeks in Gunnison at the ICELab. The ICELab, which is located on the campus of Western Colorado University, is the business startup and entrepreneurial resource hub for the Gunnison Valley.
The program provides access to educational and network resources, strategic mentorships, legal advice, and potential investors. ICELab staff facilitate a mentoring program that provides professional guidance to the startups. Participants also get to experience the many outdoor recreation opportunities in Gunnison and Crested Butte, Colorado. Holland & Hart LLP will assist with all legal needs. The program culminates with exclusive product launches through Moosejaw.
The ICELab is a coworking space and entrepreneurial hub located on the beautiful campus of Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado. In addition to providing coworking space and private offices, the ICELab works to grow local small businesses by providing consultation and facilitating connections to local and state business resources.
The ICELab’s business incubator program boosts local businesses in the early phases of business development. The incubator is designed to help startups and new businesses get off the ground. The business incubator specifically focuses on exporting startups in Gunnison County to foster local economic development.
