Gothic Mountain Tour
February 25 @ 6:00 am - 8:00 pm$55
A thigh-buster, the Gothic Mountain Tour is a true backcountry challenge of a race. The course is 22 miles and 4,300 vertical feet. The race starts at the Community School, goes out the Town Ranch trails to the Upper Loop, to the CBMR base area, to the top of Painter Boy, down to the Indian Trail, up the East River Valley to the Gothic Townsite, up Gothic Road to 403, up 403 to the Top of the World, down 2,400 vertical feet to Pittsburgh, out Slate River Road to the Gunsight Bridge, over the Gunsight Bridge to Mike’s Mile and Magic Meadows where the finish is at The Yurt.
Often used as a training race for the famed Elk Mountain Grand Traverse, this is a great way to test your mettle against some of the finest mountaineers in the western US.
