Join us Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:30 PM at the Gunnison Elks Lodge for our GFALL Fundraiser and annual auction. The event will include a taco bar, dessert, non-alcoholic beverages, music, a face painter from 5-7pm, games, a temporary tattoo table for the kids, and auction tables with amazing donations made by our local community businesses. The auction include price points for everyone. We have an end table and lamp from Miller Furniture, a certificate and dog supplies from Hair of the Dawg Pet Grooming, t-shirts/tumblers/coffee mugs/dog shirts/dog bandannas from Angel’s Magic Touch, certificates to restaurants, jewelry from Sprk Permanent Jewelry, 6 months of coffee, clothing, a bicycle, 2024 calendars, art work, naming rights to the next litters of kittens and puppies at GVAWL, Pecan shell resin figurines by Tom Clark, and. so. much. more. And all proceeds go to your Gunnison Valley Animal Welfare League. Tickets are $25 for ages 12 and up, $10 for ages 5-11, and children 4 and younger are free. All ticket prices will increase $5 at the door ($30 ages 12 and up, $15 ages 5-11, and $5 for ages under 5), so be sure to order your tickets in advance! Gunnison Valley is also host to several beloved annual events. A classic winter event is The Alley Loop, a Nordic ski race that doubles as a costume contest. In fall, Mt. Crested Butte hosts the famous Chili and Beer Festival. Every summer in Gunnison, a crowd gathers to watch America’s fourth-oldest rodeo, Cattlemen’s Days. There are also festivals in Crested Butte that celebrate local art, music, wildflowers, and more. Attending an annual event is a good way to connect with the culture of the Gunnison Valley. You might even create a new tradition for you and your family and friends!
