ONE TO ONE: JOHN & YOKO. Center for the Arts, Crested Butte. Saturday, June 21st. Cocktail Hour: 6:00-7:00 PM. Film Screening: 7:00 PM ONE TO ONE: JOHN & YOKO is a visual and musical exploration of the transformative 18 months John Lennon and Yoko Ono spent in Greenwich Village in the early 1970s. Featuring beautifully restored footage from the One to One charity concert-Lennon’s only full-length performance after leaving The Beatles-the film offers an intimate glimpse into their artistry, activism, and eccentric charm. More than just a concert film, ONE TO ONE captures the spirit of an era and pays homage to the couple’s love of television, creativity, and cultural change. A must-see for Beatles fans and music lovers alike. Join us before the film for a cocktail hour from 6 PM to 7 PM, with curated music and drinks to set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The film is generously sponsored by KBUT, David and Liska Blodgett and Peace Museum Colorado, as well as The Jeff Hermanson Family.
Gunnison Valley is also host to several beloved annual events. A classic winter event is The Alley Loop, a Nordic ski race that doubles as a costume contest. In fall, Mt. Crested Butte hosts the famous Chili and Beer Festival. Every summer in Gunnison, a crowd gathers to watch America’s fourth-oldest rodeo, Cattlemen’s Days. There are also festivals in Crested Butte that celebrate local art, music, wildflowers, and more. Attending an annual event is a good way to connect with the culture of the Gunnison Valley. You might even create a new tradition for you and your family and friends!
