Cookbook Club Feature Dinner: Cool Food by Thomas

May 24, 2025 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$95

As part of our extended programming from the Crested Butte Wine + Food Festival, we’re bringing an elevated twist to our beloved Cookbook Club! Join us for a special chef-prepared dinner in collaboration with BruHaus and Cool Food author Thomas Kostigan, bringing the book’s fresh, sustainable, and flavorful recipes to life. Instead of a potluck, this intimate evening offers a beautifully curated dining experience featuring dishes straight from the book, paired with thoughtful conversation about the inspiration and ethos behind it with Thomas Kostigan alongside Mark Easter, author of The Blue Plate: A Food Lover’s Guide to Climate Change. Enjoy an unforgettable meal, connect with fellow food lovers, and leave inspired to bring more sustainable cooking into your own kitchen!

Annual events in Crested Butte and Gunnison

Gunnison Valley is also host to several beloved annual events. A classic winter event is The Alley Loop, a Nordic ski race that doubles as a costume contest. In fall, Mt. Crested Butte hosts the famous Chili and Beer Festival. Every summer in Gunnison, a crowd gathers to watch America’s fourth-oldest rodeo, Cattlemen’s Days. There are also festivals in Crested Butte that celebrate local art, music, wildflowers, and more. Attending an annual event is a good way to connect with the culture of the Gunnison Valley. You might even create a new tradition for you and your family and friends!
