Beats Antique

Beats Antique are an Oakland-based trio fusing electronic music with global sounds and performance art. Formed in 2007 by multi-instrumentalist David Satori, dancer/producer Zoe Jakes, and percussionist Sidecar Tommy Cappel, they blend Middle Eastern belly-dance music, downtempo, hip-hop, jazz, and Afrobeat with heavy drums and live instrumentation. Their shows are as much visual spectacle as concert, pairing big cinematic beats with tribal fusion dance and surreal, circus-tinged staging.
