Arrowhead Mountain Lodge

Arrowhead Mountain Lodge (AML) is a 12-room lodge with a full-service restaurant opened year-round at an elevation of 9500ft near Gunnison National Forest. You can find our dirt road off of HWY 50 EXACTLY halfway between Gunnison and Montrose. Mile Marker 123.4

We are in Hunting Unit 66/67, with access to National Forest (4 miles) and less than a mile from BLM. We are near Black Canyon National Park, Curecanti National Recreation Area, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Morrow Point Reservoir (Dam Access off of HWY 50), Morrow Point Boat Tour, Lake City, Silverjack Reservoir, Big Blue Campground, Owl Creek Pass, the Alpine Loop, and the Alpine Trail (single track)

Arrowhead Mountain Lodge is a community-centric gathering place where all people can come together and enjoy great food, Colorado cocktails, an extremely awesome atmosphere & incredible entertainment. A place like “Cheers” “where everyone knows your name”, and we got a few “NORM!”s.

Our focus is on our community to create that “welcoming, small-town, homey” feel. A great place for nearby “locals” to make a close escape seem like a distant vacation or for those not-so-near who are looking for a true Colorado Mountain experience! There is nothing like driving through the Colorado Mountains, up a dirt road for 5.5 miles, and finding this gem tucked perfectly in our gorgeous national forest. The amount of time & effort we have put into our rooms being clean and comfortable is evident.

No matter who you are or where you’re coming from, whether it be up the neighborhood via snowmachine or cross-country drive through western Colorado, we are honored to be your host to one of the most special places in Colorado.
