The Galentines

The Galentines return to the Gunnison Valley for the final show of their summer tour, bringing their bold, harmony-rich indie rock to the Almont Resort. The Galentines are an all-girl indie-rock band who are the very heart of the local music scene in Boulder, Colorado. They are known for their stunning harmonies blended into epic instrumental solos that remind the listener of classic rock bands such as Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd, while maintaining their punk edge with biting lyricism. Their music “celebrates the complexity of womanhood, capturing all of its challenges and triumphs” (Medium), while breaking the barriers that define the female experience. Encompassing multiple genres, including indie, punk and rock, the girls just released their heavily anticipated single “Eden,” which is now available on all streaming platforms. With Crested Butte natives and sisters Essie and Linda Horne in the lineup, the final night of the band’s two-month tour also marks a homecoming to the Gunnison Valley. Opening the night is Gunnison’s own Tiger Electric, delivering an unforgettable high-energy blend of garage rock, punk and indie pop with powerhouse vocals, drums, bass and their signature electric ukulele.
