BULL RIDING AND BULLFIGHTING Eight teams competing to win and lots of exciting action! In American freestyle bullfighting\, bullfighters face a bull without a rider for a set time\, are scored on technique\, risk-taking\, and how well they maneuver and engage with the bull. Bullfighters are commonly seen in rodeo\, protecting bull riders who have been thrown off a bull by distracting and drawing attention away from the rider\, allowing the rider to safely exit the arena. Unlike traditional bullfighting\, the bull is not harmed in American freestyle bullfighting. BARN DANCE HOEDOWN Immediately after the Bull riding and fighting event\, stick around for a family-friendly country barn dance hoedown outside and under the roof at Fred Field Center featuring John King!

The tour will return to Almont around 4pm. Tickets for members are $75 each and for non-members are $85 each.

Join this compelling workshop presented by performing singer-songwriter and recording artist\, Chris Coady. Whether you are just starting out and dabbling in writing your own songs or are already a seasoned writer and performer\, you are guaranteed to come away with some new tricks\, ideas\, skills\, and inspiration. During this two-hour workshop we will explore the art and craft of songwriting with an emphasis on accessing the random\, creative right side of the brain\, and then how to organize the flow of ideas into a structured song with a little help from the analytical left side of the brain. This will be an interactive workshop and questions are encouraged. Feel free to bring an instrument\, but it is not a requirement. Workshop in collaboration with the Gunnison Valley Music Association. Instructor: Chris Coady Tuition: $50/Student\, $42/GAC Member.
