LowDown kick started 2023 with the release of the sun-drenched soul and jazz-infused single Call Me. It was followed by the summer release of Take Me Away\, which is a club inspired dance floor lover’s track. Our most recent single So Long mellows the atmosphere and is a classic hip hop heartbreaker. So Long uses 808\, horns\, and the story telling of MC Billa Camp and singer Shane Jonas. Let’s take a pause on the dance floor and reflect on the long winter ahead. There is warmth in the flow.

The laid back group of musicians from Gunnison and Crested Butte\, Colorado found a common love for the music with one another and a desire to learn and perform the material. The six piece ensemble features the same instrumentation as the Grateful Dead including two drummers and four part vocal harmonies. Easy Jim is known for their exciting original improvisations\, high energy performances\, and attention to detail. No two shows are ever the same and it’s always Easy Jim’s mission to provide a visceral concert experience that pays tribute to one of the most infamous rock ‘n’ roll bands\, The Grateful Dead.

Lee Fields\, born April 26\, 1950\, is an American soul singer often called “Little JB” for his vocal and physical resemblance to James Brown. Fields began his career in 1969\, releasing his first single and working with notable acts like Kool and the Gang\, B.B. King\, Clarence Carter\, and Sharon Jones. In the 1990s\, he made a strong return to music after a brief hiatus\, signing with Desco Records and later recording for Daptone and Soul Fire. His collaborations with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings solidified his place in the soul revival movement. Fields has since worked with his band\, The Expressions\, releasing critically acclaimed albums such as Faithful Man (2012)\, Special Night (2017)\, and It Rains Love (2019). His timeless music has reached new audiences through collaborations with hip-hop artists like J. Cole and Travis Scott\, who sampled his track “All I Need.” Fields’ music has also appeared in popular films and TV shows\, including Soul Men\, Magic Mike XXL\, and the series Atlanta.

Neal Sugarman\, a saxophonist from Newton\, Massachusetts\, began his career in the 1980s playing in punk rock bands like Boys Life and Black Cat Bone. In the early 1990s\, he moved to New York to pursue jazz\, with a brief stint in New Orleans playing with artists like Eddie Henderson and Mike Longo. Sugarman returned to New York and formed The Sugarman 3\, a funk trio influenced by “Brother” Jack McDuff and The Meters. Adam Scone is a Hammond organ specialist known for his mastery of the instrument’s emotive power. His transformation from a young prodigy to a seasoned player came through years of performing at a classic organ lounge in New York City and touring globally with top bands. Notably\, Scone toured with the Sugarman Three.
