SUMMARY:Baetis on the Arkansas River
DESCRIPTION:Fly fishers and anyone that appreciates local river ecosystems will enjoy this special presentation of the Baetis mayfly hatches in the upper Arkansas River. This free event is hosted by your local chapter of Trout Unlimited (TU) and is open to the public. The guest speaker\, Ken Iwamasa\, an author and originator of more than twenty-five fly patterns\, has published many articles in Fly Fisherman and Fly Tyer Magazines. Mr. Iwamasa’s presentation will summarize the results of his recent 2022-2024 mayfly surveys on the upper Arkansas River and provide insights into the resurgence of the Baetis mayfly hatches that occur every month on the river.
