Brothers\, sisters\, fathers\, mothers\, sons\, and daughters understand one another at the purest level. When families rally around music\, they speak this oft-unspoken bond aloud and into existence. After 25 years\, twelve albums\, four GRAMMY Award nominations\, and sold-out shows everywhere\, North Mississippi Allstars open up their world once again on their thirteenth album\, Set Sail [New West Records]\, welcoming other family (by blood and by the road) into the fold.

Described in the Gunnison Country Times as making “music for human connection”\, Chaski Quartet returns to the Gunnison County Library to perform the music of Dvorak\, Haydn\, Greenstein\, and Coleridge-Taylor as part of their 2025 Colorado tour. Other tour stops include 5 Colorado Department of Corrections facilities and Breckenridge\, CO as they perform varied programs for both classical music lovers and listeners hearing live string playing for the first time. The name Chaski Quartet was inspired by the 4th movement\, which describes the running messengers of the Andes mountains\, who would travel long distances to relay important messages and stories between communities. As musicians who commute a long way to bring music to various communities around the US\, and as runners\, the image of the chaski stuck!
