DESCRIPTION:Fara Tolno from Guinea\, West Africa will be teaching drum classes for youth and adults this February 13th. Fara is a fun and engaging teacher who is passionate about sharing his culture. Drums will be provided for use or bring your own if you have it. All ages of kids are welcome but children under 7 need to be accompanied by an adult. Adults of all levels are welcome to class. If you have never played a hand drum before this is an offering you don’t want to miss! This is a fantastic opportunity for cultural exchange and enrichment and welcomes all people to come learn the rhythms of the drum. Drumming has been shown to elicit joy and connection\, promoting positive effects on the brain\, body and spirit. Bring your own drum or drums will be provided.

DESCRIPTION:Our historic pub crawls are among some of our patrons favorite events. Each pub crawl usually features 2-3 different drinking establishments or historic buildings in The Gunnison Valley. The tour lasts about 2 hours and includes a drink at each location\, and stories and history from local historians at each location. Commemorative pub mugs are available for purchase with your ticket. Space is limited\, and our crawls are only offered a few times a year\, so make sure to get tickets before it sells out. This event is 21 and up\, we will ask for proof of identification before the start of the event. This pub crawl will focus on skiing and the ski industry and is hosted in partnership with the Town of Mt. Crested Butte. Speakers include: Dr. Gloria Beim\, MD A sports medicine specialist and orthopedic surgeon who has served as a team doctor multipole times at the Olympics\, Paralympics\, and numerous other large sporting events. Wendy Fisher One of the biggest names in women’s freeskiing\, Wendy Fisher wears many hats: Olympian\, ski-film athlete\, ski instructor\, DJ (for real!)\, mom\, and freeskiing champion.
