The show is highlighted by photo’s-some never seen-and history of gold and silver mining\, D&RG narrow gauge railroad\, coal mining and ski history. The first of a 5 part lecture series with Colorado Historian\, Duane Vandenbusche. He came to the Gunnison Valley to teach history at Western in 1962 and has authored nearly a dozen books. The 2025-2026 Winter series will showcase the history of Crested Butte\, the early days of the Gunnison Valley\, early skiing recreation history\, the importance of Camp Hale\, and the natural resources of Marble.
