DESCRIPTION:The Live from Mt. Crested Butte (presented by the Mt. Crested Butte Town Center Community Association) series returns! Billy Allen + The Pollies will take the stage on Wednesday\, July 1\, 2026. Join us at the Red Lady Stage in the Crested Butte Mountain Resort Base Area for free live music. Local opener at 5:30 pm. All live series openers are provided in partnership with the Gunnison Valley Music Association. Food and beverage will be served during the event. Grab your camp chairs and blankets and make plans to join us on the lawn for music on the mountain! There is a ferocious Southern engine inside of Billy Allen + The Pollies’ debut album Black Noise. It thrums to life atop a classic rock chassis and expertly weaves in and out of gospel\, grunge\, funk and soul along its eleven-song journey. From the explosive top of the album (a liberating anthem of self-worth called “All of Me” to the spiritually haunting final track (the wurlitzer fueled “Go on Without Them”) Black Noise is a genre-defiant haymaker that lands. https://www.billyallenandthepollies.com/

SUMMARY:Rattlesnake Milk
DESCRIPTION:The Live from Mt. Crested Butte (presented by the Mt. Crested Butte Town Center Community Association) series returns! Rattlesnake Milk will take the stage on Wednesday\, July 8\, 2026. From the southern plains of Texas\, Rattlesnake Milk summons the sound of the prairie\, mimicking the howl of coyotes and the pulsing rhythm of a lonesome junk train. While farming cotton for a family friend\, Lou Lewis found inspiration to record an eight-song demo listening to the classics played on KDAV 1590AM in the empty flatlands of his hometown. Those demos paid homage to Lou’s favorite Dust Bowl migrant songs and haunted melodic gems from the 50s and 60s. Now\, with the help of Corey Alvarez\, and Andrew Chavez\, Rattlesnake Milk captures the ephemeral soundscape of the Texas panhandle in the studio and on the stage. https://rattlesnakemilk.com/

SUMMARY:Native Gardens
DESCRIPTION:Good fences make good neighbors…right? From the outrageous mind of playwright Karen Zacarias (Destiny of Desire) comes this hot new comedy about the clash of class and culture that pushes well-meaning neighbors over the edge. Tania\, a very pregnant Ph.D. candidate\, and Pablo\, her rising attorney husband\, move next door to Virginia and Frank\, a deep-rooted D.C. couple with an impeccably trimmed backyard. But when a questionable fence line puts a prize-worthy garden in jeopardy\, neighborly rivalry escalates into an all-out border dispute\, challenging everyone’s notions of race\, privilege and where to draw the line on good taste. “A true breath of comic fresh air. It’s a biting\, perceptive\, and ultimately hopeful sendup to our fraught relationships with those around us – even right next door. Beyond snappy one-liners and garden hose fights\, the play challenges audiences to look beyond petty differences and rediscover our shared decency.” – DC Theatre Scene

SUMMARY:The Itals
DESCRIPTION:The Live from Mt. Crested Butte (presented by the Mt. Crested Butte Town Center Community Association) series returns! The Itals will take the stage on Wednesday\, July 15\, 2026. The Itals are a Jamaican reggae vocal group formed in 1976 by Alvin “Keith” Porter\, Lloyd Ricketts\, and Ronnie Davis (formerly a member of The Tennors)\, all of whom had previously also recorded as solo artists. All three had worked together in the late 1960s in The Westmorelites. The group recorded several albums through the late 1970s and 1980s\, with Ronnie Davis going on to a successful solo career in 1997 as Ronnie Davis and Idren. The Itals’ debut single\, “In A Dis Ya Time”\, is regarded as the group’s finest work\, and topped the Jamaican chart. 1987’s Rasta Philosophy was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best Reggae Album. The line-up has changed over the years\, with former solo artist David Isaacs joining in 1987 when Ricketts was sentenced to a prison term\, preventing him from traveling to the United States. Davis left the group in 1994\, and was replaced by Porter’s daughter Kada.
