DESCRIPTION:Five powerful days rooted in Hip Hop culture for youth ages 6-17. This immersive experience introduces young creatives to the elements of Hip Hop through music\, movement\, lyric writing\, and visual art. Participants will collaborate to create and perform in a live showcase while developing their own original book of songs\, a custom wearable graffiti art piece\, recording and producing music\, and fresh dance choreography. More than a camp\, this is a space where youth build confidence\, discover their voice\, strengthen leadership skills\, and learn the power of community. Through Hip Hop culture\, participants are empowered to express who they are\, stand in their individuality\, and uplift one another. Learning the arts of DJing\, Emceeing\, Graffiti and Break Dance.

Described in the Gunnison Country Times as making “music for human connection\,” Chaski Quartet returns to Colorado and New Mexico this summer for 8 performances\, including 5 performances within Colorado Department of Corrections Facilities. Please join us for a free\, all-ages performance of string quartet music by Prokofiev\, Montgomery\, Smith\, and Esmail. The name Chaski Quartet was inspired by the 4th movement\, which describes the running messengers of the Andes mountains\, who would travel long distances to relay important messages and stories between communities. As musicians who commute a long way to bring music to various communities around the US\, and as runners\, the image of the chaski stuck!

Speed puzzling is a fast-growing competitive sport where competitors race to assemble a jigsaw puzzle the quickest. June 19 will have a tournament of Jigsaw Puzzle Chess (a quick one-on-one race)\, and June 20 will include four races – solo\, pairs\, pairs relay\, and teams. The races will have Race\, Casual\, and Youth divisions\, so there is something for everyone. Join us and check out speed puzzling!

DESCRIPTION:The Live from Mt. Crested Butte (presented by the Mt. Crested Butte Town Center Community Association) series returns! New Orleans Suspects will take the stage on Wednesday\, June 24\, 2026. Join us at the Red Lady Stage in the Crested Butte Mountain Resort Base Area for free live music. Local opener at 5:30 pm. All live series openers are provided in partnership with the Gunnison Valley Music Association. Food and beverage will be served during the event. Grab your camp chairs and blankets and make plans to join us on the lawn for music on the mountain! New Orleans Suspects began playing together in 2009 as a pick-up band at the Maple Leaf in New Orleans. Comprised of some of the most seasoned\, highly respected players in NOLA\, the group called themselves The Unusual Suspects. Over the next couple of years\, they became a local favorite and by the summer of 2011 they decided to tour full-time\, renaming the band New Orleans Suspects. They quickly began attracting large crowds from San Francisco to New York.
