Warren Miller’s

November 25, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

$20

Get ready for winter with Warren Miller’s 73rd annual ski and snowboard film, “Daymaker.” Journey around the world to these plush sites: a killer storm in British ColumbiaÕs Monashee mountains, GreeceÕs famed Olympus Range, two steep and deep areas of Alaska, and the ultimate in grass skiing and backcountry riding. Join legends Crazy Karl Fostvedt, Michelle Parker, Katie Burrell, and Daron Rahlves and you really can’t have a bad day. We’ll also hit Snowmass with the National Brotherhood of Skiers and surprise a Warren Miller superfan with Jonny Moseley and Marcus Caston. We’ll also rewrite the rules of backcountry adaptive riding, follow one of EuropeÕs most legendary mountain guides, and try to keep up with some of the most exciting young skiers and snowboarders on the planet. Get in on the biggest days. Then get ready for your own. Because thereÕs no better day than one out on the snow. Presented by Crested Butte Film Festival. Showdates are Friday, November 25th, and Thursday and Friday, December 29th and 30th, 7pm – all at CB’s famed, Majestic Theatre! Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at cbfilmfest.org and also through the Majestic. Annual events in Crested Butte and Gunnison

Gunnison Valley is also host to several beloved annual events. A classic winter event is The Alley Loop, a Nordic ski race that doubles as a costume contest. In fall, Mt. Crested Butte hosts the famous Chili and Beer Festival. Every summer in Gunnison, a crowd gathers to watch America’s fourth-oldest rodeo, Cattlemen’s Days. There are also festivals in Crested Butte that celebrate local art, music, wildflowers, and more. Attending an annual event is a good way to connect with the culture of the Gunnison Valley. You might even create a new tradition for you and your family and friends!
