Ladies Firearms Safety Course

Join us for a Ladies Only Firearm Safety Class! We welcome back instructor and Gunnison native, Scott Stoneburner. Come learn basic firearms safety, handling, firearm cleaning and other ownership skills. Whether you are new to firearms or looking to brush up on your knowledge and safety techniques, this will be a great class. With over 30 years of experience as an instructor, Scott is a certified NRA handgun instructor and a NRA Chief Range Safety Officer. Scott is a retired law enforcement sergeant where he served in several assignments as a tactical team leader, department firearms instructor and detective. Scott is also a part time instructor at a Colorado law enforcement training academy. Registration open soon! Gunnison Valley is also host to several beloved annual events. A classic winter event is The Alley Loop, a Nordic ski race that doubles as a costume contest. In fall, Mt. Crested Butte hosts the famous Chili and Beer Festival. Every summer in Gunnison, a crowd gathers to watch America’s fourth-oldest rodeo, Cattlemen’s Days. There are also festivals in Crested Butte that celebrate local art, music, wildflowers, and more. Attending an annual event is a good way to connect with the culture of the Gunnison Valley.
