Coldharbour Institute (a nonprofit in the Gunnison Valley) will be hosting their monthly Winter Webinar Series on March 15th at 6:00 PM through Zoom. Michelle Nijhuis (contributing editor for High Country News and project editor for the Atlantic) will be speaking on the history of conservation in our valley. More details below. "Michelle Nijhuis, a longtime contributing editor of High Country News and author of the new book Beloved Beasts: Fighting for Life in an Age of Extinction will discuss the history of human efforts to protect life on earth, both close to home and around the world. You'll hear about successes, failures, and the opportunities ahead, and you'll meet some of the fascinating characters who fought for the species and places we love today."
