Gunnison and Crested Butte are known as a mountain biking treasure chest, with over 750 miles of trails to ride. Whether you like riding flowy alpine singletrack, technical desert rocks or pine forest plunges, we’ve got it all. You might have heard of Hartman Rocks, Doctor Park or the 401. These famous trails offer incredible riding, but we encourage you to get out and explore the lesser-known trails, too. Be sure to head over to CBGTrails for more information on mountain biking in the Gunnison, Crested Butte and everywhere in between.
Whether you seek a relatively flat road ride along Blue Mesa Reservoir, a grueling false flat ride through the beautiful country between Gunnison and Crested Butte, or you want to try your lungs at the mountain-top dash up to Mt. Crested Butte featured in the USA Pro Challenge, the Gunnison Valley offers some fun road rides for riders of all abilities. Just be prepared for our thin alpine air!
